Special effects

- Many of the storyboards you draw will be used for special effects to plan, budget, and schedule their shots. As you work with the director and other crew members, they may state how they plan to create a certain shot, and the more you understand special effects the more helpful you can be. So make sure your storyboards specify exactly what the director and others have stated on how they want to create certain shots. So for instance, a green screen shot which could be the sample here. Well, it could also be called a blue screen shot. There's really no difference, just the color of the fabric on the wall behind them. This places characters in front of a colored screen, and that color can then be removed in post-production and replaced with whatever background or effects are going to be needed to finish the shot.
