- [Narrator] Transparency and disclosure goes hand in hand with an effective sustainability program. Companies using sustainability communication as a tool to tell their stakeholders about their sustainability goals and initiatives and the progress they've made on a regular basis increased loyalty, commitment, and accountability. Sustainability reporting is one way to do so. There are various ways of communicating about sustainability-related efforts. A small business would likely benefit the most by focusing on cost-effective reporting tools, such as a sustainability page on its website and social media, while a public company may need to aggressively report in multiple ways, including a standalone corporate sustainability report and follow a third-party sustainability framework, such as GRI and CDP.
