- As we step through the discussion here in this course, some of you may be asking why now? Why are we just starting to do this? Why didn't we start doing this 10 or 20 or 30 years ago? - Prefabrication's been an idea in the industry for a long time and yet, we see this kind of cycle of prefabrication actually being implemented. So when I ask myself what's different now? I think technology acts as a driver in a different way. I think that the building industry is really leveraging building informational models to a greater extent, which allows us to then take that technology-driven approach to taking the data from those models and using it for fabrication. So we're able to exist as a company that doesn't need to build the same component every time because we have a jig that's of a finite size.
