- [Instructor] No, NCS doesn't like you to use the comic font or the Dracula font if it's Halloween. It also says nothing about having third party fonts, like archquik.shx. I think a lot of you know what I'm talking about. There's nothin' like having to type in a special percent percent code to get a special character. Oh, and by the way, if someone opens your drawing with one of these online fonts and it automatically replaces it with another standard font because they don't have your font, your little diameter sign turns into a stacked 1/8-inch. That's not something you want to deal with, is it? After that happens, Arial starts lookin' better and better. Again, the NCS is quite specific when it comes to text. Let's take a quick look. So, the big one, 2.4 millimeters or 3/32-inch high capital letters. If you search hard enough, you'll also find that 1/8 of an inch for site civil drawings is acceptable as well.
