- [Instructor] Creating transparent, translucent, or semi-opaque materials in Unreal Engine 4 can be challenging depending on the task at hand. Let's explore ways to create simple transparency effects for components of our guitar model. So here we have the guitar and you can see that we have our plastic materials that we've put on the plate and, of course, these little pick up pieces and these dials. Well, let's break this up a bit, make it a little more interesting by changing up the overall materials on some of the components here. So we'll take a look at a quick example of building some really cool transparent effects on these dials. So what I'm going to do is jump into my Materials and right now you can see that I've selected this bottom little dial, this is a tone dial, and I can see the material that it's associated with, which is actually this M_Guitar_Tone in there, and what I want to do is I'm going to duplicate this material actually, so that we create our own, 'cause we're…
