The UE4 material editor

- [Instructor] Unreal Engine is comprised of several in-depth editors. These editors can be for anything that Unreal works with from mesh components to particle systems, to visual scripting. Whatever it is, the editor system Unreal is incredibly powerful and allows for the creation of some pretty incredible art. The material editor in Unreal Engine is no exception and is a very efficient way to create infinite material variations. We have created a basic material. Let's simply go into that basic material and guitar body and double-click on it. You'll see that you've effectively launched the material editor in the Unreal Engine UI. Some important things to note: this is its own UI, its own window that is floating. A couple of things to understand comes down to user preference. You can have this window floating. I tend to have the window floating myself. This way I can see very easily what is happening within the scene, or I can simply grab a tab here. By holding down my left mouse…
