Understand external factors

Understand external factors
- [Instructor] Listening to individual outside of your organization, which I am calling external factors, can range from discovering new technologies and processes which could aid your firm with a specific investment in time or money, to listening to your consultants and realizing something you can do can help relieve their problem areas and make a project a greater success. Much like listening to your internal team, listening to vendors, consultants, clients, and business partners can provide new opportunities for them to be more efficient working with you or you to be more efficient working with them. As much as possible, have conversations with people both inside and outside of your organization to understand what they have to offer and what you can offer them. You never know when a mutually advantageous relationship will be built that will make your business practices be a greater success.
