- [Instructor] Internal factors can range from overhead costs, such as buildings and utilities, to hardware, such as printers and computers, software, standards, typical processes, unique solutions that only one person is using. These all fall into the category of various internal factors. The cost of the building and people using the space may make for budgeting for certain technology in lean financial times to be prohibitive. This may not be something management is mentioning out loud, but it will be part of their thought process. Standards and typical processes may have been created a decade ago or never created at all. In both of these situations, they probably need a good look at. Unique solutions could be innovative, creative, financially beneficial, or they could be unique for a reason.
