Understanding rebar shapes

- [Instructor] Yes, Revit does have pre-defined rebar shapes it's just a matter of finding them and making sure they're loaded into our project. I'm not going to actually add anything to our model in this video. I just want to show you how Revit looks at rebar and how it's loaded into our project. To start let's go to the structure tab. We see the reinforcement dropdown. We see we have our reinforcement cover settings. We looked at our settings and our reinforcement numbers. Now, that doesn't tell us what the rebar actually is, right, so we're not going to see our shapes until we actually try to apply them to an object. So if I select this column here now we'll see our rebar tab here. So go ahead and click on rebar. Now we have our rebar shape browser. Remember when we made this little rebar shape it kind of added one to it. Actually it didn't because that's a common shape. They kind of just duplicated a shape that…
