Use layers to manage project phases

- [Narrator] In this video, we are going to explore layers. We will use layers in this project to maintain two different phases: existing and new. That way we can later make a before-and-after comparison after we remodel the bathroom. So, let's open up the layers window on the Mac by going to the Window menu. On the PC, you simply have to expand layers in the default tray. Now, this model contains many sort of nonsensically named layers, and these came in with some of the models here that we downloaded from the 3-D warehouse. Apparently, all these layers are coming from this bed model. And this is typical of models that you download from the warehouse. You never know which layers people use when they're modeling. And you might have sometimes hundreds of layers in here. To simplify things, what I'd like to do is erase all of these layers, but keep the content that's on them.
