- [Instructor] One of my own favorite support systems here in the industry, are user groups and particularly, local user groups. Which includes industry professionals within your own area. You may not all belong to the same professional organization but you do use the same, either hardware or software and you get together to discuss those hardware and software topics. Now, the reason why I really like local user groups is that, one, they tend to be fairly informal. Meaning that you get there, and while things may be planned there's a very good chance you'll have a lot of opportunity to talk to other people in your industry, with very similar problems and experiences as yourself. Next, since it is a local user group as opposed to a national organization it means that there's a very good chance you'll get to network with individuals that are either hiring people similar to you or are in the exact same kind of role as you're currently in.
