Volume surfaces
- [Instructor] If you have two or more surfaces in a drawing, you can create a volume surface. A volume surface is able to gather information and analyze the volume between one base surface and another comparison surface. Let's go ahead and create a volume surface. Open up the drawing, volume surface. And the drawing looks blank but if we go to our prospector, in surfaces, we see there's actually two surfaces in the drawing. So, although the surfaces aren't being displayed, their information is there. We're going to go to our home ribbon, under create ground data. And we're going to go ahead and create a surface. Now we've always immediately gone to naming the surface but in this case we're going to choose the type of surface we're going to create. And we're going to create a Tin volume surface. A Tin volume surface is created by greeting those triangles, getting the points. The points are wherever the two triangles of the two surfaces cross. So you have triangles for the base…
