- [Instructor] We're in a new drawing now as we move into the Measure Volume tool on the Measure drop down on your AutoCAD ribbon. So the new drawing is 0 0 ground 103 1 Southeast Madison underscore 3D. And the reason that it's called 3D is because we have a 3D solid representing a volume in one of the rooms in the floor plan. It's this green object just here, like so so there's our 3D solid there. Now at the moment I'm using a visual style of 2D wire frame. If I change that to something like conceptual you can't miss the 3D solid representing the room volume but what I'd like you to do is just stick with your 2D wire frame visual style. What we're going to do is we're going to work out how we add and subtract volumes using the measure tool in AutoCAD. And what I'm going to do is take you through the workflow and just show you how to add a 3D volume as an object and calculate that volume. I'm not going to show you how to…
