- [Narrator] List your trade-related and construction-related volunteer experience under the experience section of your resume. If your resume is lacking in experience and content, consider adding any volunteer work or hobbies that are not trade-related. This will help the interviewers gain a better sense of how you spend your free time and what your interests are. Volunteer work is a valuable addition to any resume. It highlights good character, community service, and is often a great way to show that you can work with a team. This example lists community service as well as hobbies that reflect an active lifestyle. Because physical fitness is an important quality in a tradesperson, these are good examples of hobbies to include.
