BIM management techniques

- [Brian] Welcome to the series on BIM Management Techniques. I'm Brian Myers and I've been the BIM manager for four firms, ranging from dozens of employees to several hundred employees in a single office, to thousands of employees across an organizational structure. These firms have included architecture and interior firms, most types of engineering, as well as BIM management and coordination in the construction process. The following course is broken up into five topic categories that you can see on the screen. The videos in this series rarely include step-by-step instructions on how to directly be a BIM manager, and manage people in every situation. Instead, the videos provide areas of guidance that I have developed over the past decade in BIM management. These ideas and concepts are perfect for a new BIM manager, and individuals that want to become BIM managers, to understand successful techniques for managing people, and processes when you step into a BIM management role. You should take the concepts provided by these areas of thought, and customize them to fit your organization, projects, and your general BIM management style. Consider them all important rules of thumb, or tips for the creation of a successful BIM management environment, and a successful BIM management career.
