- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Josh Modglin and welcome to Civil 3D Essentials. Your desire to watch this course means you are ready to take on the world of civil design using the premier modeling software that's available today; AutoCAD Civil 3D. Now, in this course we're going to learn about what separates Civil 3D from other civil design software. We're going to learn about that Civil 3D user interface, and then walk through each of the main features within Civil 3D to introduce you to the creation, editing, and labeling capabilities of those features within this software. We will conclude with learning how to bring it all together using data shortcuts. Now, this course does not go into depth on any specific feature, but introduces you to the software as a whole. And, of course, because it's built on top of AutoCAD, an understanding of general AutoCAD functionality will be useful. The goal is for you to feel confident in beginning to use Civil 3D for production.
