What are key sustainability concepts?
- [Instructor] There are dozens of sustainability terms and concepts that any design, construction, and manufacturing professional should have under her or his belt. Throughout this course, I've covered many of these terms and concepts. In this chapter, I will go over some others that will give you a good understanding of foundational sustainability concepts that apply to not only design, construction, and manufacturing, but also many other industries. The concepts I will be covering next range from a way of thinking to most common sustainability trends of the last decade. The first concept I will cover is systems thinking which ties to the following two concepts; circular economy and life cycle assessment all with a holistic focus on sustainability.
