Like any industry, construction is constantly changing, and more types of materials and processes are becoming available and used. MasterFormat has 50 main divisions of construction specifications. Before the year 2004, MasterFormat was made up of 16 main divisions. MasterFormat has now been set up to allow for growth, meaning added room for more products and processes. Before we get further along into understanding the structure of MasterFormat, let's take a quick look at where you can obtain the most current version of CSI MasterFormat. First, go to this website, www.csiresources.org/home and create an account.
