- [Instructor] If you're taking this course, you should have a firm understanding of construction estimating, the construction discipline you work in, and have experience in construction management. You should be able to read and understand construction documents, like blueprints, perform takeoff, perform extension, solicit and gather supplier quotes and subcontractor quotes, and recap all this information. If you do not have a background in construction estimating, I strongly suggest that you see our courses on Learning Construction Estimating first.
