You should also have a good understanding of the construction materials that you work with, including the specific elements, that differentiate the types and brands from each other. You should also have strong reading skills, you should have the ability to understand technical language that is used to describe the fine details of construction materials and construction processes. In many cases in construction, the ability to understand contract documents is paramount to the success of a contractor or builder.
