- [Instructor] We're moving into a new chapter now. And we're going to take a look at how we work with the Layer Properties Manager. Now, the Layer Properties Manager, as it quite rightly says, allows you to deal with all the properties of your layers, which is fundamental to your design intent in your AutoCAD drawings. Talking of drawings, we have a new drawing for you. It's 00-GND-1031 SE Madison.dwg. You'll recognize it from previous chapters. Just make sure you've downloaded the right drawing for the right chapter. Once you've downloaded it, open it up in the model space so you can see the floor plan like we've got on the screen at the moment. Now, as I said, we're going to be looking at the Layer Properties Manager. And the whole idea of layers in AutoCAD is to allow you to distinguish one object from another.
