- [Instructor] There are times where you have non-NURBS geometry, and you want to convert it into something that can be used in the freestyle workbench. Here we have a couple of extrude services. If I go in and use a control points on one of these surfaces, I'm going to get this message. This is going to convert it into a NURBS element, something that it can use. I select OK, and at this point, I can begin manipulating that surface. Come in. We'll just say Normals. Move that off, and as you can see, it's generated that surface. The system automatically generated that surface for me. You'll notice that it has no history, nothing linked back to that extrusion. Now in the middle of a workflow, control points, extend, several tools will do that for you automatically, but there are times when you want to control what's happening to that conversion, and for that we use what's called a Converter Wizard.
