Creating mesh surfaces - CATIA Tutorial

Creating mesh surfaces
- [Instructor] In Generative Shape Design, we have a tool called Multi Section Surface. This allows us to create a surface between multiple sections, section one, tangency, section two, tangency, and let's Preview that. This is similar to the Blend surfaces, but because it's a Multi Section Surface it also allows us to add guides. So this is a mesh surface. It's allowing us to pick a mesh of curves to define the shape that we want. Now, when I want to select the guides, I can come down to the Guides window and select the three dots, and pick guide curve one and guide curve two. If I have adjacent surfaces for tangencies, I can pick those as well. I select OK and the surface is created. This is very useful if I need to be able to control the shape of that surface at an end using one of the boundary curves. So here I can say I want this to be Curvature. Do the same thing here. And you'll notice the surface updates…
