Analyze the shot

- [Narrator] Let's begin our work flow by analyzing the shot we're going to track. Essentially what we're doing, is playing through the footage several times, identifying good tracking points or features, as well as spotting problem areas. In this shot, there is no major lens distortion present and plenty of clear features we can track, such as the corners of the tabletop panels. It's obvious from the framing of this shot, that we need to insert a 3D object on top of the table, so all-in-all, this is a relatively straightforward shot to camera track. Let's discuss some potential problems you could encounter when analyzing shots and some possible solutions to those problems. You could have objects that are in motion, they're moving in a different motion to the camera, so they would throw off the solve. Objects that are too far in the distance such as clouds in the sky, these simply would not help the cameras solve at all, they're just too far away to be of any use. Reflections are bad…
