Animate geometry
- [Instructor] We're going to animate a hanger door opening to reveal a spaceship flying out. The goal isn't to create the most finessed animation. It's simply to become familiar with setting and manipulating keyframes. So, let's find the hangar door and it's this object here. And we can see that we have a position on the X axis. If we come over to our move tool, we know that we want to open it this way. So let's just undo that. We'll set a keyframe at frame zero for the value that we currently have. And anywhere in Cinema 4D where you see these circles you can record a keyframe. A keyframe is simply a piece of data stored And so we've recorded that now. Let's move forward in time to, say, frame 200. And we can see that spaceship is crashing into the door currently. Let's open it up so that it won't crash. So I'm going to slide this over. To be more accurate we can just type in 20 thousand. And you can the keyframe has turned orange. So we need to click and now we record that…
