Basic render settings

- [Instructor] Let's take a look at some of the most common render settings inside of Cinema 4D. We can get to the render settings by pressing this edit render settings button or using the keyboard shortcut Command + B. The default renderer is the standard renderer. And we'll discuss the physical later in this chapter. We'll leave it on the standard for now. So the first area we're going to look at is the output tab. The output tab is where you set your frame size and in Release 18, the preset has changed from the default of 800 x 600 to 1280 x 720. So now it's in a 16:9 format and there's a bunch of presets here which I generally don't even touch. If we choose one, this is back to the old default of 800 x 600 in a 4:3 film aspect. If we take a look at the viewport, you can see what's changed there. If we press Shift + V, and I'll just hide the render settings quickly. Go to view and just make our tinted borders 90% opacity.
