Caps and bevels

- [Instructor] What separates 3D from 2D type are details like beveled edges because they allow light to catch the surface of the object in different ways, enhancing the form. What I'd like to do is just take a render of this to the picture viewer, just by clicking here. And this will just take a second to render through. Okay, so now we've got our reference, our starting point. Let's close down the picture viewer and first, we're going to look at caps. So selecting the caps Motext object, we'll come over into the Caps tab and turn off our caps. If we come into the Object tab and adjust the depth to a really low value, something like two perhaps, let's come out of this camera and we'll just frame ourselves up on these letters. And if we render this, pressing Command or Control + R, it's almost as if the text has an outline, which is a really interesting look. Let's just come round a bit and you'll see with that…
