Compositing tags

- [Instructor] The compositing tag can really help fix troublesome scenes. And what I mean by this is you can turn on and off various functions of the renderer on a per object basis. We've seen how the compositing tag can be used to hide objects from the camera's view. And we have that already here in our lighting setup, with our sky. We have a compositing tag applied, and we can see that it's not seen by the camera. If we check it, and I'll press Alt + R to enable the interactive render region, the sky is now in the renderer. If I uncheck this now, you can see it's hidden from the renderer. So the compositing tag can be used to hide objects from the camera. Now, looking at this scene as it is, we can see that we're getting the ground reflected in this board here. And I want to avoid that. So what I can do is tell the ground to not be seen by reflections. So I'll create a compositing tag on the ground object, and then I can uncheck Seen by Reflection. And we'll let it update, and you…
