Create and apply materials - CINEMA 4D Tutorial
From the course: Cinema 4D R18 Essential Training: The Basics
Create and apply materials
- [Narrator] Normally the process of adding materials and lighting would go hand in hand, because you'd tweak the materials based on the lighting in the scene. However, our goal right now is just to add some simple materials that represent the original logos of the H+ Sport logo. Let's create some materials and apply them to the various parts of the logo. Before we begin, I just want to point out the Content Browser has some very useful materials as starting off points. Here I just searched in the presets for plastic, but you could search for wood, and you'd get different types of materials or whatever fits that search term. We're going to create our materials from scratch, but it's good to know that you can jump over to the Content Browser if you need a starting point. To create materials, we would just come over to the Material Manager, which is where my mouse is hovering over. You can create them by clicking here and choose Create New Material, Command + N, or my favorite method…
