- Camera moves often work best when they are so smooth, they aren't consciously noticed by the viewer. Keyframed camera animations don't tend to look very good once you've got more than a couple of keys, due to interpolation issues. I'll be showing you a technique for creating a simple camera rig for animated, arced movements around a simple subject like we see here. Got this nice smooth move around our logo. Let's compare this to a hand keyed animation. We've got a pretty good movement, but things are just a little bit funky. I'm going to temporarily hide this camera so it's easier to make out what's happening. It's a pretty good movement, but there's slight hiccups right around here, and here, and let me show you how these two camera moves look in the top view, I've got what's called a tracer object which is tracing the path of my movements for these two cameras. And we can see that the hand animated movement is smooth in the beginning, but there's a hiccup, right around here, and…
