Creating mattes to isolate objects
- [Instructor] Often, a render which was considered final needs a last minute change, but it's just to a particular section of the object, or another scenario would be you want to have more control over an area of the image for the purposes of color correction. Let's look at how we'd set up mattes to isolate objects. We're going to use the compositing tech for this. So where do we want to isolate? Or what do we want to isolate? Well, I want to just have a matte for this red plastic here. So let's find those areas of the object. I'm going to twirl down into our hierarchy here, and we're going to see that this and this and this, these all have red material, so that's what we want to affect. I'm going to use tags, Cinema 4D tags, compositing tags, and because I've got them all selected, I think it's going to add a tag to all of them, and the important thing here is not to click off because what we can do is affect all these three elements, all three compositing tags.
