Groups
- [Instructor] We've already seen how we can create and assign groups in an earlier movie. So we know that a particle can be assigned to a group, and we know that many objects in X-particles have a groups affected tab. So the group can be used to determine whether the scene modifies or actions affect the particles in that group. This is a very powerful concept to understand. And in this movie we'll look at the change group modifier in a bit more detail. So what do we have in this scene? We've got an emitter. We've got two groups, and the emitter has the red lines assigned to it. Let's press play. See what we've got. And we'll just zoom in a bit. Okay, so we want to change the red lines into the blue squares. And we're going to use the control modifier. Change group. So we'll add that. The group that we want to change into is going to be the blue squares, so we'll drag that in. And it will immediately change into that group. That's because we have an infinite falloff.
