How are Octane lights different from C4D lights?

- [Narrator] Cinema 4D lights don't bounce, cast shadows, or have a natural fall-off by default. You have to tell them to do these things. So, I'll just press command and click on this gripper button here to collapse that. And I'll press Alt-R to bring up the interactive render region. So let's go on to our light here, and we have just the standard Cinema 4D material applied. And we can just turn on area shadows for our area light. And now we have shadows in the scene. Coming over to details, if we come down to the fall-off we can choose a fall-off, and the light is now falling off. Let's just remove the standard material, and this is the reflectance material, bit more physically accurate. And now, what we're gonna do is just move on to how lights work with Octane. So I'll just delete the reflectance material, and this is our Octane material. So, C4D won't understand that, so I'm just gonna press Alt-R to disable the interactive render region.
