- [Instructor] If you're working as part of a pipeline, your role might be to match the camera and then send the data onto the next person in the pipeline. It's important then to know how to get data out of Cinema 4D. And we can export this scene using a couple of formats. Alembic and FBX are both widely used in VFX pipelines. So we're going to look at exporting this scene as FBX. Now what we could do in older versions is come over and choose File, Export, and then choose FBX. In Cinema 4D R20, we can do this from the Object Manager. So we can just select our objects that we want to export, and we could use File, Export Selected Objects As, and then we can choose FBX. I'll just save it to the Desktop and the Export Settings dialogue opens up. Generally, the defaults are fine. Usually textures and materials are on, I think, and we don't really our materials to come across so I'll leave that off for now. We certainly want our cameras and animation tracks.
