- [Instructor] Hello and welcome to another Cinema 4D Weekly. This week's video we're going to get an introduction into the collision deformer, what it does, and how it can help augment your workflow. So let's just do a very simple use case of what the collision deformer does. If we go in, just create a sphere, and maybe create a, let's grab a cone here, something pointy. And I'm just going to go and just move this cone. We're just going to stab the sphere here. So, first thing we want to do, because we are doing deformations we need to be mindful of polygon counts so we have smooth deformations. If with don't have enough polygons, it's going to look very chunky. So if I go to my display, Gouraud shading lines, you'll see that my sphere, which is the thing that we're going to be deforming, really doesn't have that much definition.
