- [Speaker] Let's turn our attention to materials. And alongside lighting, materials can be one of the most challenging aspects of working in 3D 'cause this is where you can transform a shot from good to great. Materials are stored here in the material manager and can be created by either choosing create, new material or using the keyboard shortcut cmd + n when you're focused in this area or you can double click in the material manager and that will create a new material. We also have a new PBR material in release 19 but we're not going to get into that now, we'll just go over the standard materials. So we've created a new material by double clicking in the material manager and you can see that it opens up in the attributes manager here and this could be a little difficult to work in so it's good to know that you can double click on the material and it'll open up paint material editor which is a floating window.
