- [Instructor] In this movie, we'll take a look at how we can use fields to make procedural selections. So I've got a plane here already in the scene and I'm going to change the width segments to 19 and just keep the height at 20. So I can create an offset. We'll convert this to a polygonal plane by pressing C on the keyboard. And then we'll switch over to polygon mode. And what I want to do is end up with a selection that kind of looks a bit like this where we're selecting every other polygon. Oh, I've just lost the selection which is a shame 'cause to do this manually is a really laborious process. So first I'm going to select a single polygon just so I've got something and I'll come over to Select and choose Set Selection. And a polygon selection tag is created. And what we also have is this used field checkbox. So if I turn that on, we'll get a layer already in here called freeze. Freeze stores the current state that…
