Overview of VFX

- [Narrator] In filmmaking visual effects are the processes by which imagery is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shots. Type visual effects in your favorite image search engine website, and you'll see some examples similar to this. Visual effects involve the integration of live action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic, but would otherwise be impractical to capture on film due to additional expense, danger to the cast and crew, or the fact that these environments simply don't exist. Computing technology and software such as Cinema 4D and After Effects has been going so advanced now, and creating visual effects has become accessible to all. Visual effects has changed from being the final layer of gloss to an integral part of the story and style of modern day films and TV shows. And we know that filmmaking is about storytelling, and visual effects should never get in the way of that. They should only enhance the story. By using visual effects, filmmakers can tell more elaborate stories and provide rich experiences for their audiences.
