Project settings in Cinema 4D

- [Instructor] Now, the first time you launch Cinema 4D you'll be greeted with an interface that looks like this. Now, just to make sure we're all on the same page I want to set up some project settings. So the first thing I'm going to do is go over here to the lower right-hand corner. And I'll hover over the top part of the attributes panel here just so I can make those attributes a little bit larger. Then I'll hover over the left side of that same panel and click and drag just so we can see everything that's going on here. Now that I can see everything in the attributes panel the next thing I want to do is edit my render settings. So let's go up to the top middle area above our viewport here and click this little clapboard with a cog on it. In here, I can change my render settings. So I want to make sure I'm in the output area. That should be highlighted orange. And then I'll click here on this dropdown under output. And I want to go to film and video. And let's choose HDTV 1080 24. Once I've done that, you'll notice now the width is 1920. The height is 1080. The resolution is 72. And the pixel aspect ratio is one, which means that it's square. And then the frame rate is going to be 24 frames a second. The next thing I'll do is go to my anti-aliasing settings. And since this machine is pretty fast, I'm going to go ahead and change the anti-aliasing to best. And since we'll eventually be dealing with animation I'll change this filter from still image to animation. Now, I can go ahead and close this panel. And there's one other thing I need to do. Notice here in the project settings, the frames per second is still set to 30. I want to make sure the timeline here matches what my render settings are going to be. So here in my project, I need to make sure that that is also set to 24 frames per second. Once I type 24, I'm just going to press tab to go ahead and set that and move to the next section. I don't need to worry about anything else right now. The project is only 72 frames long because that is the maximum time. If I need to make my projects any longer, I'll go ahead and come back and change this. But for now, this is going to work perfectly well. So now that I'm finished with this, I can go up into the project settings and save this. And these will be the settings that we will have for any of the projects moving forward. If you ever open up a project and you find things are looking kind of funny, please feel free to re-watch this video just to make sure that your project settings match what I've got going on here.
