- [Instructor] Hello and welcome to yet another C 4D Weekly. This week, we're going to piggyback off of last week's tutorial, where I showed you how to easily animate a character using a collection of deformers. Well, this week, I'm going to show you how you can animate and rig up a character by utilizing what's called a freeform deformer, or FFD deformer, okay? So what we're going to do is just, let's first cover what an FFD deformer is. So let's go to our deformer menu, and you can see there's my FFD. We're just going to place this in the same level of hierarchy as my ice cream group that's making up all the objects of this ice cream character, and what we're going to do is just move this up and the name of the game is to make this bounding box of this FFD just big enough to encapsulate the entirety of the object we want to deform.
