Setting requirements to use Octane

- [Instructor] To run Octane 3.08 you need to be on Cinema 4D R19.053. And you can use older versions of C4D with the plug-in but you can find more information on OTOY's website. You can license Octane for Cinema 4D either by buying Octane standalone and the plug-in. Or you can purchase a monthly subscription. The subscription allows you to use up to two GPUs to render but that is set to change in the next version of Octane where I understand the maximum cards will be raised considerably. Additionally you can used a watermarked demo which has some other restrictions. Octane runs on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, but you must have an Nvidia CUDA-enabled graphics card to work with Octane. PC users generally don't have to worry about their graphics card's ability to run Octane as your average PC desktop or laptop will more than likely have a very capable GeForce GTX graphics card.
