Stitching the ear to the proxy head
Next we're going to connect the ear to the proxy head model. We'll use the Knife tool to add loops where we need them while we're bridging it together. So the first thing we'll do is zoom in on the head. Let's go into Poly mode, grab our Move tool, and I'll just select those two polys, and delete them out. And this is where we're really going to see the grim reality of what it's going to take to bind these together. So, obviously our head model is a lot lighter than our ear model. So what we're going to do is, we're going to use the Knife tool set to loop to create edge loops while we're attaching this ear to the head. The only thing to keep in mind is, the areas that are going to be effected as we create those loops. Because what's going to happen is, on these nice rounded areas, the more cross sections that we add, the flatter they're going to start to look. And we're going to have to go back and smooth those out with a Smooth tool. So, we want to try and keep that to a minimum…
