Timeline functions

- [Instructor] Timeline functions allow you to repeat animation that is present in the timeline. And let's look at an example of a ball bouncing down a flight of stairs. I've set up this animation by creating keyframes and then finessed the interpolation to make the ball appear to bounce using F-curves. Now if you haven't watched the previous movie, you can learn about this process there. What we'd like to do is we'd want to repeat this ball bounce but we don't want to have to do it by hand. That's where timeline functions come into play. So, let's just have a look at the timeline, Shift+F3, and we'll frame up our position X and Y, if we just well these down. And we can just look through the F-curves just to see what we've got there. So this is the Y, you see the bouncing motion, and the X, it just means it's traveling along in time.
