Timescale

Timescale

Time. It seems to be a constant value in Cinema 4D's dynamic simulations. But that is, as usual, not the case. Let me show what I mean. I'll create a cube. Make it smaller. Raise it. Bring it back. Create a floor. Select both objects. Add Rigid Body tags, and change my display settings. I will tell the cube that I want it to have a custom initial velocity of 1,500 on the z axis. Rewind, press Play, and you will see the cube flies that way. If I go to the Project settings and check the Dynamics and General tabs. You will see there is a parameter that says time scale. With time set to 100%, we simulate the real-world time. But what if this changes? Well, you can see pretty much the speed it goes now. If I make it 10%, you will see that it's much slower. This is a real slow motion. The time is ticking ten times slower than normal, and the good thing is that we can animate this value. Let me show you what we can do. On frame five, we tell the time to be 100%. On frame eight, we make it…
