Tracking shots with the Motion Camera tag Spline setting
- While it is possible to create smooth camera movements with keyframes alone, one needs a different solution when the motion path of your camera gets complicated. In this video, we're gonna CINEMA 4D spline-drawing tools and the Motion Camera Tag to smoothly animate a camera-on-rails-style animation like the one you see here. I just want to quickly go over the construction of this scene. If you look at it from the top view, you see that we have a Path Spline. We've got a camera, and that camera has what's called a Motion Camera Tag on it. And that is driving its movement along the length of the spline. So let's go ahead and recreate that in our own scene. So, if we go into the top view in our scene, what we have is basically the exact same setup, but none of it's linked together. And I'm actually going to have us redraw this spline ourselves so that we get the benefit of using those spline drawing tools. So press and hold on the freehand spline tool and choose B-Spline. Now I can use…
