Transition time

Transition time

Before I close off this chapter, I'd like to talk about one more thing, and that is the Transition Time. I'll create a cube, raise it above the floor, create a floor, adjust my camera view, change my display settings, and add Rigid Body tags to both objects. Rewind, press play, and the cube falls to the ground. I'll extend my frame range and do the following. I will tell the cube to deactivate its Dynamic state, at a certain point. Let me put frame 100. So, the state is on until 100, and on frame 101, the state will go off. If I rewind and play, look what happens. The cube comes to a rest, and suddenly, it raises back to its original position. That happens because the Transition Time is set to 60. This is a built-in, inherent behavior of CINEMA 4D's dynamics. When we change a state from on to off, then, in this amount of frames, the object will return back to its original position. It will return just by interpolating the positions, and let me show you what I mean. I'll create another…
