Trigger collision

Trigger collision

Besides the use of key frames we can also use triggers to start a dynamic simulation. Let me show you exactly what these are. I'll create a cube and add a rigid body tag. In the Rigid Body Tag in the Dynamics tab you will see that it says Trigger, and the states are immediately. Which is a default behavior, at velocity peak and on collision. On collision is quite simple and it means that if I set it on collision, it will not start. Unless another dynamic objects hits it. So, let's do that. Get a sphere, raise it, add a rigid body tag, press rewind, play and when the sphere touches the cube, the whole system falls. And I can have a series of cubes, I'll make a few copies, and another one, and another one. Zoom out, change my display settings, deselect, rewind, press play. And you can see that the dynamics relations start every time an object touches the one which has the trigger set to on collision. The on collision trigger is very good for creating demolitions. Let me show you what I…
