- [Instructor] In addition to understanding colors and color theory, when working in a 3D application like Cinema 4D, it's important to understand materials. Now, please hear this: we could create an entire course only on materials, so this video is meant as an overview to help you gain a more clear understanding of what materials are and how they generally work inside of Cinema 4D, they are deep. But let's go ahead and get started by actually looking at how we can add some materials to the 3D models we've already created. If we look in the objects manager, you can see I've got a couple different effectors and other things, but our actual geometry is these three elements here. I have a motext object, I have my mountain graphic element and then I have my board itself right here.
