Using the CellAuto object

- We can generate cellular automata effects using the cell auto object and this is a new object in X-Particles 4 and it's really interesting and a lot of fun to play with. So I've got a basic system here and what we'll do is we'll just add the cellular automata object and it needs an emitter so we'll just drag the emitter that we already have in our system into the field here. And that sets it up correctly and we can begin. So there are three modes to this object but we are only going to focus on the diffusion limited aggregation in this movie and I'll leave it as an exercise to you to check out these other modes. So if we just press play, we can see we are getting a result immediately in the viewport but just control tab. You can see, hopefully, some dots happening there and if we just change the display settings on the emitter to circles, that should be a little bit easier to see. So what's happening? We've got a seed particle which is generated by the emitter and you can control…
