What are Fields?
- [Instructor] In a sentence, Fields are objects which allow us to manipulate data, so I'm going to create a matrix and we'll add a Plain Effector. We can apply a Field in the Falloff tab, and we can add Fields in a multitude of ways. If we double-click, what we'll do is we'll create a new Field. We could also click and hold, and add a Field from this list. We can find Fields here in the main palette, and we can also come to the Create menu, and under Field, you can add them from here. With the Field list in focus, we can create another Field, and it will be automatically added to the Field list. Selecting the Plain Effector once again, we can see that we have the Spherical Field and the Linear Field in the Field list, and they are combining through the use of blending modes. We're seeing different colors because we have the color channel enabled for each Field, and they are acting upon the values set in the Parameter tab…
